The 4 week accelerated course format covers the whole EBB Childbirth Class content in 4 sessions:

Week 1 - Orientation, Phases & Physiology of Labor, Evidence Based Care, Providers and Birth Settings, Building your Toolkit (2 h)

Week 2 - Pain Coping, Comfort Measures, Advocacy (1.5 h)

Week 3 - Interventions, Birth Plans, More Advocacy (1.5 h)

Week 4 - Pain Coping Rehearsal, Postpartum Preparation and Finding Resources to Support You (2 h)

Video material will be covered by students, independently each week, prior to each of the live Zoom classes.

When you take the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class, you and a partner will:

  • Receive mentoring from your own Evidence Based Birth® Instructor

  • Practice a variety of pain coping and comfort measures and learn about your options for coping during labor

  • Know your rights as a birthing family and get comfortable with advocacy and communicating with your care team about your options and choices

  • Learn about the importance of supportive, respectful care before, during, and after your labor and birth

  • Connect with peers in a small, interactive cohort

  • Get informed, prepared, and empowered!

Your Online EBB Childbirth Class includes:

  • Mentorship from Jen, your EBB Instructor and experienced doula and childbirth educator

  • Live classes via Zoom (4-6 sessions depending on format) to review and discuss the stages and physiology of labor, advocacy, coping, the evidence around medical procedures and their non-medical alternatives, creating birth plans, and preparing for the challenging postpartum period

  • Access to the EBB Parent Portal where you’ll watch online videos before each class on your own schedule, plus digital resources

  • The EBB Childbirth Class Workbook - A digital workbook is included with each ticket, or purchase a hard copy spiral-bound workbook

  • Text/email access to Jen for 3 months

  • BONUS: Breastfeeding & newborn care videos

Your Standard EBB Childbirth Class Ticket for you and a partner includes: 3 months of access to the online portion of the class, a digital workbook, 4-6 live Zoom sessions depending on accelerated or regular format, and mentoring from your instructor, Jen. $325
